This is a day in my life, Wednesday, November 7, 2007

I wake up naturally, which I don't often do. That's Whitey Bear.

I look at my watch. It's not even 6 am. Eek! I get up anyway.

I do some internetting. Instead of a CB shot, here's my website.

Breakfast. Yogurt (which tasted nasty), fat free 100 calorie muffin, and lots of medicine.

There are 2 spiders in the bathroom, so I freak out. By the time I finish freaking out, I can only find one spider.

Me post-shower. I listened to (and sang) Christina Millian in the shower today.

Brush teeth, hair & make-up. I look slightly presentable.

School.

I decide not to take pictures during class, so this is a picture of my pretty purple notebook and folder from Economics & Government. We had a debate on drug laws and I learned that it's easier for teens to get pot than alcohol.

English class. This is a poster that I had to make. It's one of those "present your life on a poster" things. No, I'm not in 5th grade. And yes, there is Rent-related stuff on there.

The common application. Lots of good, clean fun.

I go home and take off my incredible but painful boots. Those things aint made for walkin'.

I watch The View.

While I watch The View, I work on my knitting.

Lunchtime! I have a Lean Cuisine (which tasted kind of nasty), a hard boiled egg white (I don't eat the yolk), and Light Lemonade.

While I eat lunch, I watch Tila Tequila!! (I love that show!)

I play with my kitty. She's sooo purrty.

Next I go to my treatment/therapy/rehab appointment. I normally read Seventeen magazine in the waiting room, but I finished the November issue, so I brought CosmoGirl and read about racism.

I develop a really bad headache, so I go to the doctor to make sure I'm not dying. I didn't take a picture of the doctor, but here's the scale.

I am sad because I'm in a lot of pain.

I learn that I had a migraine, which I don't think I've ever had before. Next, I went to the grocery store to buy fruit and saw my ex's dad (I don't have a picture of this).

I have Chinese take-out for dinner. Chicken and broccoli. YUM!

After dinner, I watch Dancing with the Stars online. (I love ABC.com)

Before bed, I get my eardrops because I've had an ear infection for 4 weeks. Ack.

I'm going to bed and it's only 8:30. I'm seriously 5 years old.

Hello, Kitty pajamas!

Whitey and I go to sleep. I apologize for looking disgusting.

The end.

It's almost 4 am, and since I'm being all insomniatic (is that a word?), I thought I would update for the first time in years.

Today (as in, after midnight, the 30th) is my 1 year Rent yartzeit, aka 1 year since I've seen Rent. Wow, that was a while ago. It feels weird. I miss it sometimes, but then I think of how much progress I've made without it, so it's probably for the better. When I see pics on myspace and facebook of people at Rent, I feel a bit left out. I don't know all these new people who see the show, although I've talked to some through the forums. I still post on CB (I had my username changed so I don't seem so fangirly anymore), and I occasionally read Antonique's board. I honestly don't know who's in the show, who sees the show, and what that life is like now. I feel bad for how I acted towards other people when I went to the Neder religiously, but I don't regret it. I've learned a lot from it. I do miss seeing the friends I've made, though. I haven't gotten back to the city yet. I'm getting there, but this whole "getting better" is a process. I'm up and moving around and going to school every day, so I'm thankful for that and proud of myself. I think it's a pretty big accomplishment from not leaving the house at all.

The year's almost over, and next year I'm going to be a senior. I still don't know what school I'll be at next year (actually, it's been pretty much decided, but I'm not saying anything). Ardsley has been, well, an experience. As soon as I arrived, rumors and shit from 8th grade started to resurface. I hope it's died down by now. I haven't really been able to make new friends- probably because I'm not in any clubs or anything (I'm in treatment every day, so I can't). The actual academic work is pretty easy, so that takes some stress out of my life. Back to the whole almost being a senior thing- I'm freaked out about being a senior. The people a year above me, some who are only a couple months older than me, are graduating. I take the SATs on Saturday, and I'm supposed to be looking at colleges (which I haven't). It's been suggested that I take a year off after high school before college, but I don't know.

On a whole, my life is pretty good- a lot better than it was a couple of months ago. In the past year I've been to 5 different schools (Masters, home tutoring, hospital, boarding school, and Ardsley) and worked with 8 different therapist-type people (my psychiatrist, 2 psychologists at Ardsley, a social worker and psychiatrist at Grove, a social worker and psychiatrist at the hospital, and a behavior therapist). I don't do much for fun or hang out with friends, but I live my life, which I'm proud of.
